Mexcel Series Cables
Entering the Realm of the Sublime

ACROLINK 7N-PC6100

The PC6100 is the reference power cord from Acrolink that establishes a new level of performance for this type of cable.  Acrolink is the only cable manufacturer that utilizes 6N and 7N copper in their cables that delivers purity in sound unmatched by other materials.

Created exclusively by Mitsubishi Materials Corporation to Acrolink's exacting specifications, the 7N copper in the PC6100 sets a new benchmark in ultra-fidelity signal transmission.

The design and construction, which is second to none considers the effects of RFI, EMI, grounding and appropriate shielding. The result is a cable that delivers more detail, transient information, bass resolution and the full dynamic range of recorded sound.

ACROLINK 7N-PC6100

The conductive core of the PC6100 consists of 100 strands of 0.26mm diameter 7N (99.999997%) Cu wire. A precision multi-stage impurity extraction process is used delivering a cable that delivers a clarity and transparency of sound not previously achievable.

The cable is treated with the Acrolink Stress-free process that imparts permanent self-annealing properties. This ensures a uniform crystalline structure that is impervious to external forces. The cable is then insulated in a polymer polyolefin that has an extremely low dielectric constant. (0.33 of polypropylene and 0.25 of PVC). These processes deliver improvements in all aspects of ultra-fidelity performance.

The finest materials are tested in a number of variations and the best combination then utilized in the manufacture of this extraordinary cable. For example the unique inner sheath contains tungsten, graphite and amorphous metal granules for resonance and external noise  (RFI & EMI) control.

In addition the PC6100 is terminated with the best connectors available. The Acrolink CF connectors have contacts that are polished Phosphor Bronze plated with twice polished 1.5-micron thick gold which is then plated with 0.3 micron layer of Palladium.

The connectors are finished in a carbon fibre outer barrel that absorbs EMI and stray electrons. The cables are hand finished utilizing extremely precise manufacturing techniques at the Acrolink factory in Japan. The materials, design and quality craftsmanship used delivers the quietest power cord available today.

ACROLINK is the sole producer of documented stress-free 7N (purer than 99.99999%) copper in the world. This obviously requires the most advanced refining facilities available. Our entirely new conductors were produced in a joint-venture with Mitsubishi Cable Industries Ltd., the top-ranked cable manufacturer to the space industry.

The basic conductor is formed into a fine ribbon (S10000; 0.8x0.066mm, S20000; 1.88xo.122mm), and then insulated with a fine enamel coating in a Litz structure, enabling a super wide transmission range. Mitsubishi has developed the epoch-making MEDIS electro-deposited insulation system in order to ensure a previously unattainable perfectly even coating around all edges of the rectangular ribbon.

The ribbons are then braided densely, (thereby eliminating strain between conductors) around a center core which consists of a rare polymer of polyolefin (for minimum dielectric constant factor) to form a conductive core. The semiconductor layer is formed to shield against electromagnetic disturbance and foreign noise.
