Indeed the 850's resolution was really its outstanding attribute, because when an amp is able to preserve low-level detail, all aspects of the performance are enhanced. The 810 and 850s were always a musical combination. This setup was always very dynamic and really lent itself to reproducing drums and percussion with the necessary attack to sound very lifelike. I found the combination of the 810 and 850's exhilarating to listen to on a number of levels.
