finite elemente Spider

Resonance is the natural enemy of good sound. This is why the SPIDER° represents a completely new type of hi-fi rack system. The SPIDER° rack system dispenses totally with load-bearing shelves. Instead the hi-fi units are placed directly on four small pods made from a medium-hard elastomer compound. With its cleverly devised strut system the new rack offers an ideal compromise between coupling and decoupling of the vibration-sensitive electronic components. The result is a very natural, open sound acoustic pattern full of dynamics and spatial depth.

"The resulting Sound is refreshingly neutral and is typified by a smooth, clearly defined sleekness. A great tip for both the eyes and the ears!"

The modular design also offers clear functionality. The system is based on aluminium stars. These provide support for solid beechwood struts in six different positions. As the beechwood struts are also available in three different lengths, it is simple to create 18 surface areas of different size. The height of a level can be varied in three centimetre steps so that both flat and high units can be accommodated in the SPIDER°. And weight problems are unknown to the SPIDER°: each level can support up to 100 kg without any trouble.

If required the height of the SPIDER° can be increased by fitting additional  units or expanded with extra levels. The SPIDER° has been developed as a bolted structure and is therefore packaged and shipped ready-to-assemble in space-saving modular units. All packaging material can be returned to Finite Elemente for recycling.

The material is what counts:

Extruded aluminium, solid beechwood and CNC milled fittings guarantee functionality at the highest level. It goes without saying that the sturdy design offers excellent music enjoyment.

Simply variable:

The solid beechwood struts are available in three lengths and can be fixed at six positions to the core segment. This produces a multitude of possible combinations. And stability, as the Spider has no problems with load capacity. Up to 100 kg per level are possible. 1000 and 18 possibilities:
Three strut lengths and six fixing positions don't only create 18 different surface areas. Together with the aluminium pillars, that can be increased in height, and the possibility of adding additional component levels at any time, you have exactly the versatility that you need.

Charming:

The ABS plastic caps protect the ends of the Spider and are an attractive eye-catcher.

Stable:

The R.C.I. elements (Resonance Controlling Interface) ensure resonance-free sound
and optimum stability. With their infinite variability they adapt the Spider
to suit your components.

Height-adjustable:

Each level can be varied in 3 cm steps. Both slim and high components can be
easily accommodated.

Rooted:

With its height-adjustable spikes you can ensure that the Spider is reliably level.

Sturdy:

Connectors hold the 30 cm long aluminium pillars firmly in place.
