STEREOVOX COLIBRI-X

Colibri-X is the balanced version of the Colibri interconnect, built from a twin-run of discretely shielded, hollow tubular copper signal conductors. Terminated to Xhadow Reference XLRs in the ISC method, Colibri-X stands among the finest cables in the world. PTFE dielectric.

"Look out for the upcoming review of the Colibri in Soundstage, you will not be dissapointed

The Colibri, the next step up in the line from the Vespa. Available in both RCA (Colibri-R) and XLR (Colibri-X) terminations, the Colibri cables represent a substantial improvement over the Vespa.."

STEREOVOX COLIBRI-X

From 1997 to the present, Chris has dedicated his focus to creating the finest and most precise audio cables in the world under the STEREOVOX brand. Employing high technology precision solutions typically reserved for military, aerospace and surveillance industries, Stereovox cables are themselves extreme examples of precision audio cable design and execution.
Stereovox cables complete the rarest of reference audio systems, and bridge the gap between Audio and Music.

Technical Data

Our cables are grouped into different series, and geometries and technology can differ greatly depending upon the series. For instance: Analog cables in the Studio line employ tubular copper conductors in solid (high density) PTFE dielectrics, while cables from the Reference line use microfilar pure silver conductors encased in air-articulated (low density) PTFE dielectrics.

A word about connectors: We employ Xhadow connectors or our own Stereovox connectors [on Vespa only]. These connectors employ pure copper, plated in silver for the signal-conductors and are designed to allow for ISC soldered termination.

ISC stands for Intimately Stressed Contact, and it simply means that the signal wire and the connector it is attached to are not only in electrical contact with one another – but that they are contacting one another under extremely high stress. This guarantees that the connection, or “joint,” is a perfect one before any solder is applied. Thereafter, solder is applied to create a hermetic seal – never to act as an electrical bridge between wire and connector.
