STEREOVOX FIREBIRD

A loudspeaker cable fashioned from our hollow, tubular copper conductors and silver-plated copper micro-filar conductors in a twisted-pair configuration. One of the most articulate, nuanced cables in the world, Firebird can be doubled-up for Bi-Wire installations, or bi-wire AND employ HDJC jumpers for a Bi-Shotgun approach that preserves the advantages of bi-wiring while cutting overall resistance in half. PTFE dielectric. Xhadow Bananas standard (ISC method) with Universal Spade Adapters that push-on to bananas.

Stereovox Colibri & Firebird follow-up review- Tim Shea, SoundStage.com

These upgraded cables have unleashed more musical information than I’ve ever heard before through my system, and it sounds very, very right. Although I didn’t find all that much sonically different with the new Firebird speaker cable, it remains about as neutral an entry as I have heard in the category, which at the very least makes it a great match for the Colibri-R.Overall, the Stereovox Colibri-R interconnects and Firebird speaker cables are the best I’ve had in my system and reasonably priced to boot.

"The Firebird speaker cables, on the other hand, are more like precision instruments that thrive on revealing every last iota of whatever cruises along their purportedly thin skin. Bass is also tight and quick with the Firebird"- Soundstage Tim Shea -Read Review

The Firebird is one of the most articulate, nuanced cables in the world.

Another advantage of the Stereovox design, Firebird is a suprisingly small diameter, lighweight cable that is easy to handle. A welcome contrast to large, bulky alternatives. "

STEREOVOX FIREBIRD

From 1997 to the present, Chris has dedicated his focus to creating the finest and most precise audio cables in the world under the STEREOVOX brand. Employing high technology precision solutions typically reserved for military, aerospace and surveillance industries, Stereovox cables are themselves extreme examples of precision audio cable design and execution.
Stereovox cables complete the rarest of reference audio systems, and bridge the gap between Audio and Music.

Technical Data

Our cables are grouped into different series, and geometries and technology can differ greatly depending upon the series. For instance: Analog cables in the Studio line employ tubular copper conductors in solid (high density) PTFE dielectrics, while cables from the Reference line use microfilar pure silver conductors encased in air-articulated (low density) PTFE dielectrics.

A word about connectors: We employ Xhadow connectors or our own Stereovox connectors [on Vespa only]. These connectors employ pure copper, plated in silver for the signal-conductors and are designed to allow for ISC soldered termination.

ISC stands for Intimately Stressed Contact, and it simply means that the signal wire and the connector it is attached to are not only in electrical contact with one another – but that they are contacting one another under extremely high stress. This guarantees that the connection, or “joint,” is a perfect one before any solder is applied. Thereafter, solder is applied to create a hermetic seal – never to act as an electrical bridge between wire and connector.
